Connect existing systems
Can you keep your POS and connect it to Fawtara?

Direct answer
Often the POS can remain the system that records the sale, but connection is a project, not a checkbox. Map its invoice data to the current rules, agree an interface with an accredited provider and return validation status to staff. Confirm the exact POS version, transaction types and taxpayer onboarding before promising production use.

The short version
- Keep the source sale and its reference.
- Use an approved provider route.
- Show the fiscal result inside the staff workflow.
Map one complete sale
Trace a sale from product scan through tax calculation, payment and invoice creation. Identify which fields come from the POS and which may come from ERP or customer records. Missing buyer data is easier to fix before rollout than at a busy till.
Test the reverse path
The provider's accepted or rejected response must attach to the original POS transaction. Staff need a controlled correction path. A one-way export that drops the response can leave the shop unable to reconcile invoices with daily sales.
What to check in your own setup
- List the actual POS version and available export or API.
- Agree provider onboarding and data ownership.
- Test acceptance, rejection, timeout and correction.
Questions people ask
Does every POS have a ready-made Fawtara connector?
