Does offline POS mode permit offline Fawtara invoices?

Keep an offline sale separate from a validated Oman e-invoice and plan a controlled recovery.

Direct answer

No automatic equivalence exists. EazSell can preserve supported POS activity during a connection loss, but that does not prove an invoice has passed Fawtara validation or may legally be issued offline. Confirm the current OTA and accredited-provider rules for your transaction. Mark unsent and rejected documents clearly, then test recovery without duplicate submission.

A saved sale is not automatically a validated invoice.

Label each state honestly

Show whether a sale is stored locally, sent to the provider, accepted or rejected. Do not let a printed receipt hide a pending tax document. Managers need a list of items that still require action when connectivity returns.

Test an interrupted checkout

Disconnect after payment but before the provider replies. Reconnect and inspect both the POS and provider records. There should be one commercial sale and the correct number of fiscal documents. This test is more useful than merely checking that the app opens offline.

Confirm the provider's outage procedure and applicable OTA rules.
Test interruption before and after sending.
Reconcile pending items after reconnecting.

Questions people ask

Can an offline POS receipt be called an accepted e-invoice?

Only when the applicable regulated route establishes that status. Offline POS capability alone cannot establish it.
