What can an Oman POS partner do in a Fawtara project?
Separate local POS implementation from the accredited service-provider role and agree support ownership.

Direct answer
A local POS reseller can install devices, prepare merchant data, train staff and support the POS-to-provider hand-off. It must not present that commercial partnership as OTA service-provider accreditation. If a company seeks accreditation itself, it needs to meet OTA criteria and complete the official process. The two routes can be planned separately.

The short version
- A reseller may support the merchant workflow.
- Accreditation is a separate OTA decision.
- Put local support and escalation responsibilities in writing.
Define the commercial route
For a straightforward rollout, the reseller can work with an already accredited provider and focus on POS, devices and merchant support. The merchant should know which party answers a cashier's question and which party handles a rejected e-invoice.
If applying as a provider
OTA publishes local commercial, technical and security criteria for provider applicants. A partner considering that route should review the current criteria, application portal and tests before making a market claim. EazSell partnership alone does not satisfy them.
What to check in your own setup
- Choose reseller integration or accreditation application as distinct scopes.
- Check any provider's OTA status.
- Agree training, first-line support and escalation paths.
Questions people ask
Can a white-label solution be used for a provider application?
OTA's monthly FAQ says an applicant may use a white-label solution if it meets the criteria and passes the required tests. That is not automatic approval.
