Direct answer

The five corners are the supplier, its service provider, the buyer's service provider, the buyer and the Oman Tax Authority. The seller's software creates invoice data. Accredited providers handle validation, exchange and the prescribed tax-data reporting. Your project must decide who owns each hand-off and how a failed document returns to the seller.

The short version

  • Corner 1 is the seller, not the accredited provider.
  • Providers operate corners 2 and 3.
  • Corner 5 receives prescribed tax data.

Walk one invoice through the route

Start with the sale in the merchant system. The supplier's provider checks and exchanges the structured document. The buyer's provider delivers it where the buyer participates. OTA receives the relevant tax data. The exact response and exception path should be demonstrated by the provider selected for the merchant.

Why the return path matters

A cashier needs more than a send button. The POS or ERP should identify pending, rejected and accepted states using a stable source reference. Otherwise staff may reprint an unaccepted invoice or submit a duplicate after a timeout.

What to check in your own setup

  • Draw all five parties for your transaction type.
  • Name the service provider on each applicable side.
  • Record the acknowledgement, rejection and retry route.
